Nursing Home

BCS installed a ground water source heat pump system at a southern New York State nursing home that operates at 40% of the consumption of a typical water source heat pump system. This client received a $190,000 incentive from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to reduce the project cost. BCS also provided Commissioning Services to ensure the system operated at peak efficiency, and that facility personnel were properly trained to maximize performance.

Hospital

BCS implemented an Energy Performance Contract at an acute care hospital in New York State. This project saves in excess of $300,000 in annual energy costs from a Direct Digital Control System, HVAC system upgrades, facility wide energy retrofit, steam trap replacement and boiler control system upgrades. Following completion of the project, BCS was awarded a Facility Management contract to provide a full-time, on-site, Energy Manager and Energy Management System Operator at the facility.
