05/26/06 Pursuing a strategy of selected targeted acquisitions, Schneider Electric acquired Invensys Building Systems operations in North America and Asia. Previously, Schneider Electric had acquired Invensys Advance Building Systems as well as TAC, in order to expand its presence in the building automation system market. Invensys, a BCS partner in building automation systems, is the successor company in the Barber Colman/Siebe line of controls products. The Invensys line of controls products will be distributed as the I/A Series of direct digital controls under TAC's building automation system offerings.
